Finally the weather gods were kind to us! We have been trying to go to outdoor markets since we came – but when it is raining here the world seems to stop! This Monday we went to a Vide Grenier market in the village of Toulouges near Perpignan. These markets are organized by the communities, and are often held in the streets. Look at all the things we found. Luckily the little hired car has seats that could be folded so all the things finally got into the car.
The bed spread is completely hand maid in the traditional French way. It is really seldom I see these really old pieces at a reasonable price. It was really dirty so I had to take the chance and clean in the washing machine. That went well, and now it looks very nice!
The Sunday market we had planned to visit did not take place as it was raining. Instead we went to an antique show. The prices were so salty that they did not fit into our budget. The last picture is from the antique show in the Palais de Rois de Majorca in Perpignan. It was still a nice treat to see all the beautiful things.
