In my home everything became quite hectic as you can understand from my last article about painting the dining room furniture I bought some time ago. I did not have much time for anything else than painting and finishing my home for Christmas.
Christmas Eve is over and I do believe that everybody were happy in the end. My furniture turned out very well and they all noticed I had “new” furniture.
Christmas decorating is for me to take out all the old stuff I have gathered over the years. The same things are used every year – with a little extra every year as well. The patch work things were made over 20 years ago! The old things, together with some fresh branches, flowers and holy, provide all the Christmas feeling I need.
This year it was my youngest son who decorated the tree. He is now 25 and a police man! My husband and I had been invited to my sister for a gathering before Christmas as we always are. Coming home the drive way were full of cars and we could smell hot spice red wine (without alcohol as they were all driving) and Christmas music on the CD player. Who say that boys (men) don’t know how to make it cosy for themselves? These boys do! The Christmas tree was almost done….
Today I have been cleaning and tidying up after Christmas Eve and preparing the usual spread for the Christmas lunch.
My two wonderful sons and my husband bought me a new camera for Christmas. They thought I should have a proper camera to take good photos for my blogging! According to them my old camera was almost antique, being about 3 years old.
In the days to come I will relax and read some of your pages!
I have put the paint brushes to rest for a while!
