Vår i Valdres
I kveld har vi tatt ned døra til gården - så i morgen skal jeg slipe og sprakle. Tørker sparklet så kanskje jeg kan rekke å grunne den før vi reiser også.
We have a lovely and long week end, an extra day off is very welcomed – especially at springtime when there is such a lot to do outdoors. We are in the valley of Valdres, where spring has not come as far as in the Oslo region. We still have spots of snow around the houses, but still we have been able to clean out a lot of dead leaves and grass from last year.
I have seen to the little cottage I started renovating this fall. All was well there and now I can start the work again. Hopefully I will get some more painting done so that I can start putting in some furniture and curtains and do the really fun stuff.
The little creek outside is no little creek any more – but a frowning river. The little pond we made to be able to take a bath there in the summer is no pond – but a bobble bath tub! The water is ice cold though so bathing is not very tempting.
The frogs in the larger pond by the farm have woken up from their winter sleep. They seem to have formed a choir, and are practising their frog songs at high volume!
